The James Webb Space Telescope
The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), the most powerful telescope to ever be launched into space, launched on December 25th, 2021. It is a successor to both the Hubble Space Telescope and the Spitzer Space Telescope. Since its launch it has successfully unfolded and began its calibration and comissioning process. This telescope will change our understanding of the early universe and could provide evidence of life in other star systems.
